Hoppler, Inc. (“We” or “Our”) respects and values your privacy, and employs reasonable measures to protect your personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (“DPA”), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and related issuances from the National Privacy Commission (“NPC”).

We have prepared this Privacy Policy to better serve those who are concerned with how their Personally identifiable information (“PII”) is being used online. PII, as used in privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

PII is a concept similar to Personal Information which, under the DPA, refers to any information from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained, or, when put together with other information, would directly and certainly identify an individual.

This Privacy Policy shall be applicable to all of the services provided by Hoppler including but not limited to Hoppler’s listing and information services, whether done online or offline (the “Services”), Our website and on Our applications for mobile devices (collectively, the “Applications”).

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When registering on or using Our Applications and Services, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your preferred username, name, email address, residence address, birthday, gender, occupation, civil status, nationality, contact number, home address or other details. We encrypt user's confidential data (such as password and etc.) when storing to Our database.

To facilitate your use of Our Services and Applications, we may also collect your transaction data, and the details concerning the service that you’re using which may involve PII (such as: address of the property you want to sell, lease, or buy; name of the property owner; purchase price; personal information of your broker or agent; corporate information such as registration documents, list of shareholders,etc. .

If you contact the Service Provider Service Center, the Service Provider will collect information you provide about the problem you are reporting about the Service and may keep a copy of that information.

Our Applications offer informational services, where you can view or share information or collaborate with other people. Upon registering on Our Applications, information posted or shared using Our informational services would definitely be public. Such public information includes the messages and comments you post, your name and and display name, as well as the information you choose to make public through your profile settings.

WHEN AND HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?

We collect information from you when you register, enter information on, and share information through Our Applications. We may also collect information when you contact or engage Our real estate brokers and employees pursuant to your use of Our Services.

During the course of your usage of Our Applications, other users, our service providers, partners, brokers, and other third parties may collect from you physical and/or electronic documents bearing personal information.

We may use the information We collect from you for the following purposes:

  1. Facilitation of delivery of services that you avail on Our Applications or through Our employees and agents;

RETENTION

Your personal information shall be retained or stored for as long as the purposes for which they are being processed have not been satisfied. We will retain and use your personal information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce its agreements:

  1. Forms and documents containing your personal information may be stored in physical documents and stored within Our premises. Our storage facility has sufficient physical and organizational security mechanisms in place such as biometric security system, closed-circuit television, 24-hour security and traditional lock and key accessible only by authorized personnel.

  1. Forms and documents containing your personal information may also be digitized and stored on Our systems hosted on-site or within the premises of an authorized third-party service provider.

  1. We shall ensure, using contractual and other reasonable means, that the Third-Party Service Provider implements proper safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the personal data processed, prevent its use for unauthorized purposes, and comply with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other applicable laws for processing of personal data, and other issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

b. The right to make corrections to personal information

The DPA requires us to take reasonable steps to ensure that any personal data it processes is accurate and up-to-date. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to the personal information that you have supplied to us during the course of your engagement.

c. The right to object to the processing of personal information

You have the right to object to the processing of his/her personal information, including processing for direct marketing, automated processing or profiling. You shall also be notified and be given an opportunity to withhold consent to the processing in case of changes or any amendment to the information supplied or declared to you in this Privacy Policy. Please note that some of the personal information you have provided to us is necessary for us to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as Our administrative policies and is thus mandatorily required to be collected and processed.
