Three Must Try Restaurants at Commercenter

Commercenter in Filinvest City was intended to provide residents, visitors, and working professionals a go-to mall for unwinding after a long day, and it successfully serves its purpose as it continues to draw people in regularly. It’s impossible to miss Commercenter’s elegant, circular exterior that’s situated along East Asia Drive, Filinvest Avenue, and Commerce Avenue.

Commercenter provides the much needed balance between work and play, being a few minutes’ walk away from the busy business district of Filinvest City. Aside from its world-class cinema and wide variety of establishments promoting wellness and fitness, Commercenter boasts of an extensive selection of restaurants. Ranging from select fast food favorites to some of the most upscale culinary experiences, these restaurants have made Commercenter a foodie’s can’t-miss destination in Filinvest City.

Three particular restaurants found its home in Commercenter since its launch in 2014 and have since remained. Their distinctly elegant and delicious dishes are paired up with artistic presentation, setting them apart from those around them.

  1. Kessaku

There is obviously no shortage of Japanese restaurants in the city, but Kessaku is one that cannot be missed.

Kessaku’s interiors immediately draw customers in through its large glass window that allows natural light to come inside the restaurant, paving the way for customers to enjoy their meal against a backdrop of the city’s serene view. Their Kessaku Sushi Boat, with assorted sushi, sashimi, and maki, is a crowd favorite as it gives everyone a taste of most of their delicious appetizers. Their Sashimi Moriawase is a plate of sashimi and seafood artistically plated, presenting an ultimate feast for seafood lovers.

They also have Bento Box set meals that include miso soup, assorted sashimi, vegetables, and fresh fruits – a great deal sure to excite many. But what really surprises many is Kessaku’s Soft-Shell Crab and Ushi Ebi Tempura, which are so tender and light, but equally tasty inside and out.

  1. The Black Pig

The Black Pig is a charcuterie, bar, and restaurant all in one. At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Carlos Garcia, former chef at London-based Michelin Star French restaurant Gauthier Soho. Thus, it’s expected that Chef Carlos’ culinary training of European techniques would be in application in the delicious, however short, menu that The Black Pig offers.

The Black Pig serves an interesting mix of European-inspired recipes using local ingredients. The Black Pig Charcuterie Board, features five varieties of Spanish iberico that melts in the mouth and explodes with flavor. This is perfectly complemented by their cheese selection, which consists of the finest of French cheeses. Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without a glass of red wine. The Black Pig is also the first in the country to bring Holgate, and their Beer Flight gives customers a sample of four kinds of craft beer.

Its sleek interiors, concrete walls, and halogen lamps contribute to shape a cozy feeling despite its industrial make-up. But a meal at The Black Pig could also be enjoyed al fresco at the balcony of the restaurant, overlooking the streets of Filinvest City. Everything about The Black Pig has a refined touch to it, making the inevitable gastronomic experience even more enjoyable.

  1. Mona Lisa Ristorante

One of the hidden gems at Commercenter’s second floor is Mona Lisa Ristorante. The restaurant, at first glance, immediately gives off a sophisticated, fine dining vibe, with its painted ceiling murals, walls, and pillars.

Mona Lisa Ristorante is a favorite lunch destination amongst the corporate crowd of Filinvest City. But at night, the place also transforms into a romantic and intimate date spot for couples.

Like most Italian restaurants, they serve pizza, pasta, and wine. But their menu is extensive. With a wide variety of starters, soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, main dishes, and desserts, anyone who eats at Mona Lisa wouldn’t be short on the full Italian dining experience. Add to that how all dishes are made with the freshest dishes daily.

Their piazze is a thin pizza cut in unlike ordinary, in strips that must be eaten rolled. It’s one of the most mouthwatering experiences at Mona Lisa Ristorante. But other must-try dishes include their Risotto Mona Lisa with shrimps topped with grated parmesan that transports diners to Italy with just one bite. Paired with efficient service and elegant interiors, Mona Lisa Ristorante promises a one of a kind, superior restaurant experience.

The variety of restaurants definitely excites all the food enthusiasts, but everyone should jump in and experience the worthwhile dining experiences offered at Commercenter.
