  1. University of the Philippines – Diliman

The University topped the Interior Designer Licensure Examination of 2014. As of November 2014, the tuition fees range from P6,000 to P40,000 per school year. However, it may not include all fees, and can change anytime. The course provides a broad general education and specialization in interior design. It teaches design, history of art, furniture construction, soft furnishings, aesthetics, socio-economic, cultural and environmental aspects of daily living in shaping and treating space to meet the needs of individuals, families, and institutions. UPD has a passing rate of 91% for Interior Design Licensure Exam first timers.

  1. Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila

BS in Interior Design is offered in MIT – Manila for 12 quarters (4 years). The tuition fees range from P37,000 to P39,000 per quarter as of January 2015. The program is designed to guide students in progressively assimilating the creative and technical aspects of the interior design profession while developing cultural sensitivity. It covers a wide range of professional practice such as interior design, furniture and accessories design, visual merchandising, production design, exhibition design, interior landscaping design, and lighting design.

  1. Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila

With 72% passing rate for Interior Design Licensure Exam first timers, PUP – Manila is acknowledged as one of the top schools that offer BS Interior Design – a four-year baccalaureate degree program offered in the College of Architecture and Fine Art. The course encourages the complementary pursuits of learning and practice, reflection and action along with a sense of perspective, adaptation, and transcendence. The tuition fees range from P2,600 to P4,000 per year.

  1. Philippine Women’s University – Manila

Based on the results of the last 4 Interior Design Licensure Exams, PWU – Manila has a passing rate of 50% for first-time exam takers. BS Interior Design is offered at the University for 10 trimesters or 3.33 years with tuition fees that range from P87,000 to P105,000 per year.

  1. Philippine School of Interior Design

The basic course in interior Design is a one-year course leading to a certificate. It spans four terms of 12 weeks each. It aims to familiarize students with the methods and tools in design and the arts, develop in them a deeper appreciation of aesthetics, and enable them to apply sound decorating principles.

  1. University of Santo Tomas

The University aims to develop the student’s skills for planning the design and the design requirements of a given space in relation to its function. It purposely prepares the students for professional practice in providing effective, efficient, and creative design solutions for homes, hotels, stores, and business spaces. As of November 2014, the tuition fees range from P80,000 to P120,000 per academic year.

  1. De La Salle University – College of Saint Benilde

The BS Interior Design program develops the mastery of interior space planning, as well as specifying interior elements, such as finishes and furnishings, that would lead to creating aesthetic and functional spaces. It is offered in consortium with the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID). It runs for 11 trimesters or 3.67 years. The tuition fees range from P180,000 to P210,000 per year.

  1. University of San Carlos

As of January 2015, University of San Carlos offers BS Interior Design for around P70,000 per year. It also offers scholarship grants for eligible applicants. The course covers design concepts and methods for building interiors based on the fundamental criteria of comfort and beauty. In addition, students learn skills in furniture and product design, photography, fashion, and other crafts with emphasis on concepts of expression of cultural identity. The University has a passing rate of 55% for Interior Design Licensure Exam.

  1. St. Scholastica’s College

The Catholic Benedictine Educational College offers BS Interior Design for 4 years with tuition fees that range from P80,000 to P110,000 per year. The program aims to develop the design skills of the students. It is a learner-centered course that embraces liberal arts education. Advanced courses include clusters in designing competencies from single unit space such as residences to more elaborate and complex corporate requirements such as hotels, institutions, and similar structures.
