Lumina Homes: Paving the Way to Decent and Affordable Homes

Everyone aspires of having a home they can call their own. But for many working and lower income families, they feel this dream is out of reach. It’s no surprise that most Filipinos opt to rent than own a property.

Fortunately, decent and affordable homes are now being made available to supply the overwhelming demand. The country’s largest homebuilder, Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc., is offering residential properties catering to the low-end market through its housing arm Lumina Homes Inc.

Lumina caters to the socialized housing segment that largely includes minimum wage earners. They offer row housing units at P450,000 to P1 million, cheaper than the P1 million to P1.8 million for Camella brand’s Lessandra and P1.8 million to P3.5 million for Camella Homes. With only three years in the pipeline, Lumina already has 14 existing projects — Tanza, Cavite; General Trias, Cavite; San Pablo, Laguna; Sto. Tomas, Batangas; Lipa, Batangas; Tayabas, Quezon; Pandi, Bulacan; Plaridel, Bulacan; Mexico, Pampanga; Tarlac; Carcar, Cebu; Oton, Iloilo; Pili, Camarines Sur; and General Santos. — and soon-to-open projects in Pampanga, Misamis Oriental, Dumaguete, and Davao Del Norte.

Lumina understands that amenities play an important role in offering quality living.  Their master planned communities come complete with amenities like a multi-purpose hall, basketball courts, gardens, landscaping, playgrounds, and commercial areas in the near future. Plus they are accessible to major thoroughfares, transport hubs, schools, hospitals, and business and leisure centers.

Lumina is expected to come up with more housing projects to answer the government’s call and the country’s need for socialized housing. By the end of 2015, Lumina expects to have raised 20 additional communities across the country, offering approximately 30,000 new homes in total.

It’s evident that those who are earning minimum wage need not settle to renting a home forever. Lumina Homes is the answer to decent homes with favorable modern lifestyle choices.
