Feng Shui is a practice of locating the good energies around your home based on various elements and to better be in tuned to the home environment and reap the benefits of it. Aside from activating and maximizing the positive energies or Qi, Feng Shui helps you to avoid or cure negative or bad energy to avoid stress, tensions, and setbacks.

In order to understand how to apply Feng Shui in your home arrangement, one must familiarize himself or herself with the various elements and their positions inside the home. This system can be illustrated by the bagua.

Tchi provided the necessary details on how to subdue the negative areas for the Year of the Sheep.

At the center of your home, place the metal elements while at the Southeast sector of your home, exhaust the earth element by putting metal, water, and wood elements.

Another negative sector of the home is the South where the metal element must be controlled by placing water elements. On the other hand, the West is another challenged area wherein the earth element must be minimized by showering it with metal and water elements. Do not activate the West sector by doing renovations in the area. As much as possible, avoid putting sound in this area such as a telephone.

On the other hand, Feng Shui experts also provided tips on how to enhance more luck in the positive areas of your home. For example, the North is the wealth area for this year so you can nourish it with items which represent wealth and abundance.  Add elements which represent water.

The Northwest sector of the home represents romance and education this year. Place wood and water elements in this area to enhance your love life and excel in your scholarly endeavors. While the Southwest sector is known as your future wealth star, fire elements must be added to energize this area of the home.

Now that you have learned the various tricks to attain the best flow of positive and negative energies inside your abode, start planning the new arrangement of your home. At the end of the day, keep in mind that aside from subscribing to the art of Feng Shui, the most important attitude to keep in mind is a positive outlook in life in order to achieve success and a balanced well-being this year.
